Note 2
Gibbs (2007) reviewed the British Chyromya species. He concluded that all British material recorded under the name flava that he could check belonged to femorellum (Fallén, 1823). Whether flava is a senior synonym of femorellum represented by smaller specimens or whether it is perhaps a rare or non-British species remains as yet unanswered. It may well be that the Dutch situation is similar. For now flava is maintained on the list until either or both species as described by Gibbs (2007) has/have been confirmed.
